About the violin

This violin was made in Markneukirchen in 2012 and is modelled after the instruments of Andrea Amati.

The violin has a one piece back of quarter sawn maple with ribs and scroll of similar wood. The front is two pieces of straight grained spruce and the varnish is a rich reddish-brown.
