Insurance valuation

We recommend getting an up-to-date valuation for your treasured instrument once every 3 to 5 years to ensure that your insurance cover is appropriate. We are always happy to offer a free informal valuation if you are concerned that your cover may not be sufficient.

We charge £50 plus VAT if you would like a written insurance valuation to be prepared for your specialist musical instrument insurer. This document includes detailed measurements of your instrument or bow, a thorough examination of its provenance and condition, and our opinion of its current market value.

Insurance valuations are by appointment: it’s almost always possible to complete the examination of your instrument whilst you wait.
