About Jules Fétique

Jules Fétique is widely considered to be one of the finest French bow makers of the 20th century. The younger brother of Victor François, Jules Fétique was born in Mirecourt in 1875 and served his apprenticeship in that town with Miquel and Charles Nicolas Bazin.

Fétique moved to Paris in 1902 to work for Eugène Sartory, moving to the Caressa & Français firm from 1917 onwards, whilst continuing to collaborate with Sartory up until 1934.

Fétique's bows are highly sought after for their elegance and excellent playing qualities.
